The Jonah Community Bridge is scheduled to be demolished on May 13, 2024! We need the community to go sign a petition at the Jonah Community Center to stop the demolition! The Jonah Community Center is located at the corner of CR 126 and Hwy 29 in Jonah, Texas, which is in Georgetown, TX. You can sign the petition this weekend on May 3rd, 4th and 5th. This bridge is also an inlet/outlet to Jonah Salon & Co & San Gabriel Valley Farms. If the bridge is demolished, the community will only have one entrance/exit point remaining!

Members of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Jonah Salon & Co. to celebrate the opening of their new, small business in Jonah, Texas. The salon officially opened on January first. Founder, Amanda Fuentes, states, "As the salon moves forward, she feels that residents in the surrounding areas will discover the new, hidden, gem in Jonah.” The salon is capable of supporting up to three stylists. A few of her clients have already come from as far as Burnet, Liberty Hill and Austin, Texas. The building, which was originally a detached garage, was remodeled by the Co-Founder, Richard Fuentes, who is the web designer for the company.
